The XQ-2B metallographic specimen inlay machine (hereinafter referred to as the inlay machine) is suitable for pressing small metallographic specimens that are not plastic shaped and difficult to handle with thermosetting plastics. After forming, it is convenient for sample grinding and polishing operations, and also conducive to microstructure determination under a metallographic microscope. The inlay machine can work reliably under the following conditions:
1. The altitude does not exceed 1000 meters;
2. The temperature of the surrounding medium shall not exceed+40 degrees Celsius and shall not be lower than -10 degrees Celsius;
3. The relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 85% (at 20 degrees Celsius);
4. No obvious vibration or obvious turbulence;
5. There are no conductive dust, explosive gases, or corrosive gases that can seriously damage metals and insulation around.
This machine is a mechanical inlay machine, which rotates the external handwheel of the body and drives the internal screw rod of the body through a pair of bevel gears to move the lower mold of the pressed sample up and down in the rigid mold sleeve. Thermoplastic and the embedded sample are formed under heating conditions. The forming pressure during the sample preparation process is automatically compensated by a spring fixed in the collective, and the pressure pressed by the sample can be indicated by a signal light.
This inlay machine is equipped with a digital temperature controller, which enables real-time temperature display and automatic temperature setting. It is also equipped with a timer, thereby achieving semi automation of sample preparation and greatly improving work efficiency. The sample preparation time for each inlay is 8-10 minutes, and an ideal sample that is as smooth as a mirror can be obtained.
